Once you get passed mountain home is a lot of fun. Pine is a nice little town, I would recommend stopping to eat up there.

The campground was closed for contruction but we snuck in. Had to hike about half a mile but it was worth it.

I don't think the campground will be open this sumer, maybe in the fall.  They have a lot of work to do by the looks of it.  The hot spring is still open but you must walk in.  the pool was full of folks over the holiday weekend so I didn't soak.  They were nice enough to take a pic for me!

This photo was taken July 20.  The Baumgartner Campground is closed (locked gate) about 1/2 mile from the hot springs, so we took this photo along Nfs-227 along the South Fork Boise River across from the hot springs.

Across river looking at the closed campground.  Not so high spirited as some who hiked in.  Was there last fall for nice early morning dip.

Trent Holderness and I left after work on a Friday for Baumgartner HS. Took the Mayfield road to Sun Valley highway (plus some after missing a left hand turn).  We camped at the primitive campground while Baumgartner is being remodeled.  Had a nice soak in the HS before turning in for the night. Then on to Easly HS in the morning.

Enjoyed a nice relaxing dip in the pool. What a great way to wind down from a long day of riding. Camped at the lower camp ground with Gary Mountain.
