Ride Description:
We get an extra day this year, what better way to spend it than in the saddle? Let's meet at the Shell station at the corner of Eagle rd and W State Street at 10:00. We can head out Eagle road, to Willow Creek rd, to Sand Hollow rd. From there we will take Johnson Creek rd to Shalerock and head into Horseshoe Bend. Then the old hwy to Pearl rd and back in on Willow creek. Or we can take Chapparal over to Hwy 16 and end up at Firebird Raceway. Johnson creek can be a handful, muddy, rocky, rutted, but only 5 miles or so long. I have seen big bikes on it, but it depends on your skill level and willingness to possibly lay er down. The rest of the route is pretty basic, mostly good gravel.
