2 - Basic Skills

Slightly more challenging than a level 1 ride. A rider with minimal experience will still feel comfortable riding a larger bike (such as a V-Strom 650) on a level 2 ride. Level 2 routes include primarily gravel roads with tighter corners and steeper grades. You may encounter some very easy double track. You should be comfortable with steady speeds on straight gravel, averaging 40 m.p.h. when appropriate.

Ride Description:

Last year's April Fools Ride was so much fun I think we should do it again!  Nothing tooo crazy, a little street, a little dirt, maybe find some nice mud puddles, some hooliganism would be acceptable ;)

Ride Description:

I keep in contact with Butterhooves and we decided to take a little ride this Friday.   He has that rib he busted on the Yellow Pine ride, so this will be a nice gravel road ride.  No crazy stuff this time.

I would like to run out of Poison Creek through Sands Basin.  Then south on 95 to Cow Creek, going through Silver City to 78.  That would be about the extent of it.  Little bit of lunchbox  sandwich and coffee along the way.

2015 Yellow Pine Music Festival and Dual Sport Ride

I think I was on time to Big Twin BWM where we met up and introduced ourselves.  Bo, Norris, Reg, Larry, Dan and myself were present at the meetup.  Big Twin put on some coffee for us, we checked out the bikes in the for sale lot, had a brief meeting and were on our way.  We rode up to Bogus Basin, then Larry led us over the Boise Ridge into Placerville where we met up with Doug.  From there we headed into Garden Valley for fuel and a quick bite.  Heading East on the Banks/Lowman highway for a few miles, we then turned North onto Scott Mountain Road/FR555.  Its
